
26 Sep MINING MINISTER MEETS WITH ALTA LEY
On September 4th, the Minister of Mining, Baldo Prokurica received the executive president of the Alta Ley Corporation, Mauro Valdés and the manager of the institution, Jonathan Castillo, with the aim of discussing the reality of the Chilean mining industry and knowing the Progress of the projects led by Alta Ley.
On the occasion, in addition to reflecting on general issues that affect the industry such as climate change and water scarcity, they took advantage of reviewing the agenda of the last months of the year, where one of the key milestones will be the launch of the update of the Technological Roadmap for Mining 2.0 expected to be presented next November.
This document was updated with the objective that it will be “alive” and that it will be adjusted to the needs of the new times. In the reprioritization work of the nuclei that was developed at the end of 2017 and during 2018, more than 100 people participated and as a result of this deep analysis three new nuclei were included: new uses of copper, green mining and explorations, and reviewed the challenges and solutions posed of each of the existing nuclei.
