02 Oct EXPERTS EXHIBIT ON NEW LITHIUM EXTRACTION AND PROCESSING TECHNOLOGIES

October 10th in Santiago.

Representatives of important companies from Belgium, Israel, France and Australia will meet to analyze the state of the art of the industry and the opportunities and challenges of the market in the Seminar «Emerging Technologies of Extraction and Processing of Lithium», organized by the Ministry of Mining and the Alta Ley Corporation. The event will also address market projections and the scenario facing our country, as well as the possibilities of local industry development.

The Minister of Mining, Baldo Prokurica, the analyst of the CRU Víctor Rodríguez and representatives of five foreign companies of the Lithium industry will be the main exhibitors of the Seminar “Emerging Technologies of Extraction and Processing of Lithium”, an event organized by the Ministry of Mining and the Alta Ley Corporation, with the collaboration of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

The meeting, which will be held on October 10th from 8.30 am at the Hotel Almacruz in Santiago, aims to make visible the new technologies for the extraction and processing of this mineral, through the experience of the Belgian company Solvay, the French Eramet and Adionics, the Israeli Tenova and the Australian GHD.

The executive president of Alta Ley, Mauro Valdés, who after the presentation of each company will moderate a panel discussion, explains that the event accounts for the strength of the industry globally, and the great opportunities for Chile as one of the great Lithium deposits on the planet. “We are talking about one of the minerals of the future, central in the development of R + D + i and central in the generation of electromobility. We believe that it is necessary to strengthen the ecosystem, especially after the creation of the Chilean Institute of Clean Technologies” he said.
