The Technological Program for Online Monitoring of tailings deposits, Tranque, works to develop a standardized monitoring and early warning system for tailings deposits, which, through an information management platform, provides to all actors involved (authorities , mining companies and communities) quality, reliable and timely information on the performance of deposits in areas of physical and chemical stability. The final purpose is to strengthen preventive operational management, improve communication and response between the parties to situations of eventual emergencies.
Its vision is to contribute to the safe operation of the country’s tailings deposits, improving coordination and trust relationships between the different actors involved, through an advanced monitoring system that will last over time.
