ONLINE MONITORING TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM ON TAILINGS DEPOSITS – TRANQUE

Tranque Program, is a public-private initiative, which seeks to contribute to the safe and reliable operation of tailings deposits, developing tools to improve the monitoring of physical stability and the potential impact on surrounding waters, delivering quality and timely information to authorities, mining companies and communities, thus improving communication between the parties and the response to emergencies.

In 2018, this initiative took a new impulse to be considered within the National Tailings Policy announced by the Ministry of Mining, which within its pillars considers the implementation of tools for the management of active deposits, through the creation of the National Observatory of Tailings Deposits.
