The “Technological program for the creation and adoption of international standards for mining interoperability” aims to promote intelligent, digitalized and collaborative mining.
With a duration of five years; Its work includes: determining the current state of the development of standards of Interoperability in mining in Chile and the world and developing a conceptual model for Interoperability applicable to different technological platforms associated with the mining process. As one of its milestones, it contemplates the formation of an International Organization of Standards that will articulate the necessary resources for the development of said parameters; considering international best practices and models and achieving global recognition. The entity will have the mission of ensuring the use, adoption, management and long-term maintenance of interoperability standards.
The initiative has the participation of the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism, Corfo and Alta Ley. Its main strategic partners are Codelco and BHP and it is co-executed by CodelcoTech and CSIRO. Both the design and implementation of this platform has been developed by Fundación Chile.
