16 Oct Civil Society Council Meeting

On October 15th, the Civil Society Council, integrated among other institutions by our Alta Ley Corporation, met in the Ministry of Mining. This body has a consultative and advisory nature in the public policies of the Mining Undersecretariat.

On this occasion, a presentation was made on ILO Convention 176, which addresses the safety and health of workers in mines and, on the other hand, the Ministry of Mining presented the current status of the National Tailings Deposit Plan, showing its progress and steps to follow. Finally, an extraordinary meeting was set up in November in order to analyze the modifications to the Regulation that currently rules the Civil Society Council of the Ministry of Mining.
