What is Alta Ley Corporation?

Alta Ley Corporation is an organization designed to articulate the capacities established in public and private organizations and agencies in the mining industry, with the purpose to promote and boost the development of the sector, through initiatives, programs and projects that solve the relevant challenges of mining needs through development and innovation, technology transfer and collaborative work, among all the entities of the ecosystem, to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of the mining business.

It was born from the institutionalization of the Alta Ley National Mining Program, a public-private initiative created in 2015 as a Corfo Intelligent Specialization Strategic Program, with the active participation of the mining industry, its suppliers, the power of State, the academy and R&D centers, whose objective was to address the challenges of productivity, safety and respect for the mining environment, and at the same time create, strengthen and energize the mining innovation ecosystem.

For this, a Technology Roadmap was built with a vision to 2035, with the objectives of supporting the industry in its competitiveness, facilitating the rise of 250 suppliers of world-class goods and services, and reaching US$4000 million annual exports of such goods, services and technologies applied to mining.
